Description
The story of Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~ revolves around Reginald "Reggie" P. Happenstahnce and his journey to take the cure for the zombie plague someplace safe; somewhere it can be mass-produced. His father—one of the scientists purported to be involved in the outbreak's inception—created this cure and left it behind before leaving on his own for the same purpose. Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~ is a visual novel/dungeon-crawling RPG that focuses on character interaction, relationship building, 3D grid-based exploration, and turn-based JRPG-style combat. This is a romantic-horror-comedy visual novel RPG unlike anything before it!
History
Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~ was first conceived in October 2012 at a table in Corner Bakery near South Coast Plaza Mall, located in the outskirts of Santa Ana, CA. Nick, Ryan, and a few other succulent beasts were throwing around the idea of creating a visual novel game on the side while maintaining full-time employment at their current jobs. Following that discussion, during lunches and over weekends, plans for the visual novel began to move forward. It became a lunch- and weekend-sacrificing labor of love through 2013, when Nick and Ryan decided the time had come to shift their full-time status from their other job and to making their own game. Soon enough, the game had expanded its scope from a simple visual novel to a full-fledged, voiced, 3D visual novel dungeon crawling RPG—with the concept set in stone, they finally founded Mr. Tired Media, LLC. The game's design began after the two had moved to Seattle, WA, where they found like-minded individuals to help them tackle the creation of the game's toolkits, code foundation, and mechanic engines. The game entered legitimate development in 2016 and is very nearly complete now, in 2018. All 2D, 3D, sound, music, and other elements of the game were lovingly crafted from scrap, so the final product will feel like nothing before it!
